James B. Gattoni

Jim Gattoni serves as President and Chief Executive Officer for Landstar, Inc.(LSTR) a worldwide, asset-light provider of integrated transportation management solutions. since December 29, 2014 and also serves as the President since January 2014. He serves as a Director at Landstar System Inc. since January 29, 2015. He served as Principal Financial Office at Landstar System, Inc since November 02, 2020 until May 24, 2021.

Mr. Gattoni, a Certified Public Accountant, has been a key member of the management team since he joined Landstar in 1995 as Corporate Controller, a position he held until 2001. In 2001, he was promoted to Vice President and Corporate Controller and held that position until April 2007, when he was promoted to Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Gattoni was again promoted in 2013 when he was named Executive Vice President and CFO. He was named President and CFO in January 2014 and subsequently promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer in December, 2014. In January of 2015, he was elected to the Company’s Board of Directors.

From 1987 to 1995, he was employed by the audit division of KPMG LLP. He holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting from Ramapo College in New Jersey.

He and his wife, Ann, live in Atlantic Beach, Florida. They have three grown children.
